Plant Resources

Investment in Plant is Key to our success.

Bourne Surfacing & Civils Ltd has over time invested in the best and most suitable range of plant and machinery to ensure that we can be diverse enough to provide all the services our clients require.

Our fleet of plant is continually reviewed and re-structured as required. We erate a fleet of 3 pavers in a variety of sizes, from our smallest paver a Caterpillar BB621E to our larger machines (AP600) which can pave up to a maximum width of 5.0m. We have recently added to our fleet with the purchase of a new Bobcat T190 Tracked loader with Planer, Rotary Brush and Bucket attachments. The purchase of the T190 has allowed us to offer further services in house to our clients.

Our Fleet

Our paving machines when used in conjunction with our 6 strong fleet of rollers (Bomag/Dynapac) varying from a 0.8m wide through to 1.8m wide and skid steer loaders. Additionally our fleet is further strengthened by various 360 Excavators upto 7.5ton & our own inhouse fleet of site dumpers. We feel that our strong fleet of plant and machinery give us the versatility to carry out a wide range of macadam applications from footpaths and drives to major trunk roads.

Each of our dedicated surfacing teams have modern crew-vans equipped with warm water wash basins and microwave ovens to ensure they have a clean environment. We are entirely self-sufficient, having our own fleet of pickups and tipper wagons (6 Wheeler) for transporting our essential tools/ materials and fuel.

In 2000 we enhanced our fleet with the addition of a low loader, we are now on our 4th low loader vehicle and this continues to enable us greater flexibility with our management of plant requirements to site.

Our recent investment in our T190 Bobcat allows us to offer an even more practical package, greater flexibility and a competitive edge when it comes to meeting your budget.

Vital to the smooth operation and completion of our work, we have our own in-house garage team that works diligently to inspect, maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment, always keeping us on the road. This makes Bourne Surfacing & Civils Ltd a reliable choice with fitters providing an on call 24/7 service, if the unexpected happens we are well equipped to deal with site problems quickly and effectively, reducing delay times for our clients as much as possible.

As a company we also regard the training and development of our staff enormously. To this end we have a thorough training program in place which focuses significantly on the site workforce.

Touch Screen H&S Tests and CSCS are a minimum requirement at Bourne Surfacing & Civils Ltd. In addition to this, all plant operators maintain a level of accreditation with the relevant scheme including NRSWA and CPCS.
